The MSS Way Guidebook

Welcome to The MSS Way Leadership Program where we believe that leadership is not a one-size-fits-all journey. We will spend the next 12 months working together to build your leadership skills. Our program will focus on five core competencies that have been critical to Meriwether Site Solutions' success: Responsiveness, Integrity, Servant Leadership, Growth Mindset, and Legacy.

To create a comprehensive and enriching learning experience, each of the five core competencies is represented by two modules that align with our Core MSS Values: Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Trust, Accountability, Mentorship, Coachability, Teamwork, Change, Work/Life Balance, and Leading Self & Others. This approach helps you get a complete understanding of the key qualities needed to be a strong leader.

During The MSS Way Leadership Program, you'll explore these skills and values, learning practical tips and tools you can use in your everyday work at your own speed. Our goal is to give you the knowledge, abilities, and mindset you need to handle leadership challenges and make a positive impact in your organization.

PLEASE NOTE: Along with your leadership content, each session will include Self-Assessment Questions for you to reflect on as you review your current leadership practices. At the end of each module, you will be provided with reflection questions. Feel free to bring any insights, ideas, challenges, or opportunities for discussion to your coaching sessions or leadership seminars.

Welcome to The MSS Way Leadership Program!

The MSS Way Leadership Program
Module Information:
5 P’s for Proficiency

1. Priority

At the beginning of each session, you will be asked to complete the Skills Self-Assessment found in Building Up. This assessment allows you to evaluate and quantify your strengths and weaknesses. This will help you to prioritize where to start your journey. Each leadership skill is of equal importance and sessions can be completed in any order.

2. Pace

The MSS Way Leadership Program is self-paced. It is essential that you have the independence to work at your own speed. Being rushed or feeling pressured to complete a certain number of lessons within a time frame takes away your freedom to focus on the areas you are interested in developing. Using your Skills Self-Assessment, select your starting session and begin your journey of leadership growth.

3. Personal Coaching & Seminar Sessions

Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Our Eagle Center for Leadership Coaches will support and guide you on this path of personal and professional growth through Coaching and Seminar Sessions. They will respect both your priorities and the pace at which you choose to work.

4. Practice

Make time for practice. After determining what priorities you want to focus on, establish a learning pace that works for you. Once this has been set, you can meet with your leadership coach to practice the leadership skills, actions, and behaviors you want to incorporate into your daily routines.

5. Progress

Self-reflection is a vital part of this program. We encourage you to actively track and reflect on your progress after completing each module. This will not only help keep you on course but will also assist our coaches in providing targeted guidance.

Proficiency

When you become proficient in your leadership, you possess a deep understanding and ability to perform tasks with efficiency, accuracy, and confidence. You demonstrate the ability to tackle complex challenges and execute tasks to a high standard, fostering robust, collaborative relationships that collectively drive organizational success.

We're ready to build alongside you on this leadership journey!
